This Artist Was Suspended By 20,000 Balloons Like The Real-Life "Up"

20,000 balloons were used to let this artist float in mid-air. This art installation is like a real-life version of "Up." It was performed by Noƫmi Lakmaier and she floated for nine hours. The live art installation took place at the Sydney Opera House and it's called "Cherophobia." Cherophobia is the exaggerated or irrational fear of gaiety or happiness. The point of this project? It is to connect people through "shared suspense and anticipation." Viewers were invited to come and go as they pleased. It was not the first time Lakmaier pulled such a performance. In 2016, she was suspended by balloons in a London church and stayed afloat for 48 hours. How long could you float?
